Event #21 at the 2010 World Series of Poker* was snapped by Full Tilt Poker Pro Richard Ashby and banks over $140K in prize money.
In 2003, the London-born player turned pro and has never looked back from then on. Ashby is drawn to the thrills of high-stakes games, particularly short-handed Pot-Limit Hold ‘em and primarily a ring-game player. Even with focusing on cash games, he has racked up some remarkable results on the live tournament circuit, including eight World Series of Poker cashes.

Event #21 was a $1,500 Seven-Card Stud tournament that drew a field of 408 players. Ashby slowly built up his stack after he went to the final table third in chips. Ashby took a commanding lead during heads-up play against Christine Pietsch, leaving her extremely short stacked for what’s left of the game.

In the final hand, Pietsch stake out on Fourth Street with a pair of tens, and then pushed all in past a raise from Ashby.
